Calagione (Sam)
Sam Calagione has been focused on brewing beers with culinary ingredients since 1995 when Dogfish Head first opened as the smallest craft brewery in America. Today, Dogfish has grown into a 400+ person company and is one of the most recognized breweries in the country. Dogfish Head is based in Delaware with Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats, an off-centered brewpub and distillery, Chesapeake & Maine, a geographically enamored seafood restaurant with a James Beard nominated cocktail program, Dogfish Inn, a harbor-front beverage-themed motel and Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, a production brewery and distillery featuring a Tasting Room & Kitchen. Dogfish currently sells beers, spirits, and canned cocktails across the U.S. In July 2019, Dogfish Head proudly merged with the Boston Beer Company. Sam’s innovative style and collaborative spirit has earned him a reputation as one of the industry’s most adventurous entrepreneurs and brewers. Sam has authored four books and was named the James Beard Foundation’s Outstanding Wine, Spirits, or Beer Professional in 2017. Sam, Mariah, and their family reside in coastal Delaware.

Derkzen, P (Peter)
Peter Derkzen werkt al bijna 40 jaar bij Bronkhorst High-Tech in Ruurlo als specialist in het meten en regelen van zeer lage gas- en vloeistofstromen voor diverse toepassingen in de industrie en laboratoria.
Beginnend als R&D-ontwikkelaar in hard- en software, was hij destijds betrokken bij de realisatie van de allereerste digitale flowmeters, besturingsmodules en veldbus communicatie, evenals soft- en firmwaretools, voor bediening en configuratie. Hij deed ervaring op in productmanagement, business development en business unit management en coördineerde de marktintroductie van de Bronkhorst Coriolis-productserie (mini) CORI-FLOW. Met de focus op applicatieontwikkeling voor vloeistofdosering, maakte hij met de nieuwste ontwikkeling FLUIFILL nieuwe revolutionaire toepassingen mogelijk voor industriële vulmachines, zoals hogesnelheidsprecisie (aroma) dosering.

Mertens (Tuur)
Dr. Tuur Mertens is brouwkundig wetenschapper en oprichter van CraftSense, waarmee hij brouwerijen adviseert en ondersteunt bij kwaliteitsoptimalisatie, het opschalen van processen en de opleiding van sensorische panels. Hij behaalde een gezamenlijke doctoraatstitel in de Brouwwetenschappen aan de Technische Universiteit Berlijn (Duitsland) en de Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (België). Zijn onderzoek richtte zich op smaakstabiliteit en oxidatieve veroudering van bier, wat leidde tot de ontwikkeling van MashLife, een natuurlijk antioxidant op basis van granaatappelextract. Voor zijn bijdrage aan de voedingswetenschappen ontving hij in 2024 de FWO Scientific Award Puratos en werd hij in 2025 geselecteerd voor de Vlaamse PhD Cup.

Oostendorp, J. (Jos)
Jos Oostendorp is in 1962 in bierstad Groenlo geboren. Tijdens zijn jeugd werkte gedurende vakanties in de Grolsch-brouwerij, waar zijn vader als timmerman werkte. Na zijn studie Werktuigbouwkunde aan de Universiteit Twente begon hij in 1989 fulltime bij Grolsch. Jos heeft diverse functies uitgeoefend binnen Grolsch onder andere innovatiemanager. Na zijn vertrek bij de brouwerij in 2012 startte hij zijn eigen consultancybedrijf Eastgreen Beer & Packaging Matters en ook lanceerde hij het biermerk Yellow Moon. In 2016 richtte hij met oud-collega’s Frans en Andries de Groen brouwerij Brouwersnös in Groenlo op en was daar tot midden 2020 directeur.
Binnen CRAFT heeft Jos onder andere de functie van voorzitter bekleed van 2021 t/m 2024.
Jos is mede-eigenaar van brouwerij Brouwersnös en is daar nog regelmatig te vinden en bemoeit zich met veel plezier overal mee, van brouwen en verpakken tot kwaliteit, inkoop en verkoop.
