Bamforth (Charles)
Dr Charlie Bamforth has been in the industry since 1978, with the Brewing Research Foundation and Bass in the UK, then professor of brewing at UC Davis 1999-2018. He is now Distinguished Professor Emeritus and Honorary Professor with the University of Nottingham. He was President of the Institute of Brewing and Distilling (now CIBD) 2014-2016. Charlie was Senior Quality Advisor to Sierra Nevada 2019-2025. He wrote numerous articles, papers, and books on beer. Charlie has received numerous awards. He has written profusely for 40 years on football, especially Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Henri heeft ruim 25 jaar ervaring in de biersector, onder andere als medeoprichter en directeur van StiBON Bieropleidingen. Verder is hij biersommelier, trainer, auteur (bierblog BIERburo, Bier! magazine, Brouw! en verschillende boeken), podcaster (Biertypisch Henri) en adviseur (BIERburo, Trappistenbrouwerij De Kievit, Brewers of Europe). Henri is medeoprichter en bestuurslid van de Dutch Beer Challenge. Maar bovenal houdt hij van bier.
‘Ik houd van bier. Ik houd van de mensen die het drinken, ik houd van de mensen die het brouwen. Ik houd zelfs van mensen die het verkopen. Ik ben gefascineerd door de natuurlijke processen waardoor bier ontstaat. En door de manier waarop mensen die proberen te doorgronden en naar hun hand proberen te zetten. Daarom praat en schrijf ik enthousiast over bier. Op veel manieren’. -
Simmonds (Steven)
Steven is the coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Malting and Brewing Sciences and a postdoctoral researcher at KU Leuven. Driven by a fascination for the science behind every pint, he explores the biochemistry of carbohydrates, especially starch, during the mashing process. Through the Postgraduate Program, he’s dedicated to inspiring and equipping the next generation of brewers with the knowledge and curiosity needed to tackle the challenges shaping the future of malting and brewing.

Trummer (Jonas)
Jonas Trummer is an Brewing Science - Alumni of the prestigious TUM-Weihenstephan. Additionally, he holds a PhD in Brewing Science from the Agricultural University in Krakow and the University Ghent.He has worked in breweries of all sizes in Germany, Poland and France. Since 2024, he is the Technical Sales Manager for Murphy and Son in Europe.
